camping to famous masai mara and lake baringo for wealth of birds and
a boat ride to island camp baringo
Day
1 - Lake Baringo
Depart Nairobi in the morning stopping enroute to view the spectacular
Great Rift Valley. Lunch at Nakuru. Proceed to Lake Baringo, a world
famous bird sanctuary arriving late in the afternoon. This Lake is a
spectacular sight with its islands (two of them inhabited). Boat trip
to see the hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight in the camp.
Day
2 - Lake Nakuru
A 30Km drive south to the Spectacular Lake Bogoria with the Hot Springs
and Geysers which are hot enough to boil an egg. Don't fall in!
Lunch and then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park famous for its bird
life for a game drive on the shores of the lake. This is the home to
millions of Flamingoes and over 400 other species of bird life and you
can explore on foot. Among other animals you will also find the rare
Black Rhino in this Ornithologists' paradise. Overnight in a camp.
Day
3 - Maasai Mara
After breakfast we head south to Narok and into Maasai Mara Game Reserve
by afternoon. Showers are available in the camp and meals are served
in the dinning mess or in the open. Dinner and overnight camping.
Day
4 & 5 - Maasai Mara
Two full days experiencing the Mara magic in the Kenya's premier reserve
that is an extension of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Mara
reserve is the most popular in Kenya and it owes this to the astounding
concentration of game within the park all the year round with the Wildebeest
migration mainly in July and August. A visit to the Maasai village can
be arranged at an extra cost for those who are interested. Overnight
as above.
Day
6 - Nairobi
We break camp and drive to Narok where Maasai souvenirs can be bought,
then back to Nairobi by late afternoon. End of Safari.
